Its primary function is to offer two distinct operations from the same frame: a secure"tilt"position, where the top of the sash pivots inward for controlled ventilation while the bottom remains locked, and a full"turn"(or "swing") position, where the entire sash rotates inward on side-mounted hinges like a door for maximum opening, easy cleaning, and emergency egress. This design excels in energy efficiency, security, and weatherproofing, as the sash compresses tightly against the frame on all sides when closed. It is particularly favored in modern and multi-story residential buildings for its space-saving inward swing, superior performance, and intelligent functionality.
